Norsk Metallretur AS is one of the leading players in metal recycling in Norway with 10 wholly owned companies situated along the coast from Tønsberg to Trondheim. The company is engaged in purchasing, collection, industrial processing, and in the sale of iron and recycled metals. Under processing, we include cutting, combusting, environmental restoration, granulating and sorting.
Norsk Metallretur’s activities today will benefit future generations in the form of less environmental pollution and less exploitation of scarce natural resources like electric power and iron ores.

Norsk Metallretur processes all normal types of scrap metal. We distinguish between iron (ferrous) and non-ferrous metals.
Our task is to buy, collect, sort and process recycled metals in accordance with government and customer requirements and to transport products ready for smelting to the metallurgy industry both in Norway and the outside world.
NMR companies purchase all kinds of steel and metals for recycling at the proper market rates. Direct provision to end users ensures that our suppliers get the best prices and terms.
We offer tailor-made solutions to our suppliers and make packaging and container solutions available to meet supplier needs, while also devising optimal transport and logistics. The highest possible selling prices from us, and cost-effective production and logistics, ensure best terms for our suppliers.
We also offer access to statistics, market prices, and insight into environmental aspects to facilitate our suppliers’ various reporting requirements. If required, we can also offer logistical solutions for our suppliers’ overall waste flows.
